Roush Honda Inventory Lot

Architectural Alliance

M·E used pervious concrete pavement to achieve the stormwater detention and post construction water quality control requirements for Roush Honda’s Inventory Lot in Westerville. This approach allowed the client to maximize the use of the site by eliminating the need for a detention pond. The project involved the use of pervious concrete, an environmentally friendly upgrade intended to filter pollutants out of stormwater runoff.

Crews poured 37,000 s.f. of pervious concrete, which sits atop an 8-10” layer of gravel subbase placed on filter fabric. The project is one of the largest of its kind in Ohio, if not the Midwest.

Pervious concrete pavement is a unique and effective means to solve stormwater regulation issues and growing environmental concerns while maximizing land use. This pavement technology is effective in recharging aquifers, reducing the heat island effect, reducing storm water runoff, and controlling first flush pollutants from reaching local streams and storm water systems. It can also help achieve LEED® credits for your project.
